When I tell kids what I do, I say:
I help people find the right words to say so that other people can hear and understand them.
I’ve never found a better way to put it. I’ve always been a storyteller, a passionate communicator, a reader and a learner. I’ve led newsrooms, reimagined magazines, translated complex and nuanced topics for complex and nuanced audiences, created community events and put together brand opportunities that included coaxing two iconic aircraft to “touch noses.”
I can boil each and every project, big and small, down to one thing: Helping people find the right words to say to get their message across so their audience will hear it.
Ink & Edge is the culmination of my more than 20 years in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations and business development. It’s built with tools and talents I honed at top companies like Boeing, Dignity Health, PwC, and Saint-Gobain. The foundations are my own values, including authenticity, optimism, curiosity, collaboration and creativity.
When I’m not on the job, look for me at a local book or art supply store. I love to read, do art projects, hang with family, plan elaborate gardens and generally live up to Taylor Swift and Beyonce’s examples.
